“He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.”Psalm 107:35

“For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.”Isaiah 44:3-5

God specializes in bringing life where there is dryness, barrenness, and emptiness. What man sees as a wilderness, God sees as a place where He can send springs of water.

The Lord can take a dry heart, a weary Christian, a struggling family, or even a barren ministry and pour out refreshing again. Before the water came, the ground was cracked, thirsty, and fruitless. But when God pours out His Spirit, life begins to grow again.

Many believers know what it feels like to walk through a spiritual wilderness. Prayer becomes difficult, joy fades, and the heart feels dry. Yet God promises refreshing to those who thirst for Him. The answer to dryness is not more activity — it is the pouring out of God Himself.

Elijah — 1 Kings 18

After years of drought, the land was dry and broken because of sin. But when Elijah prayed, God sent the rain again, and the earth brought forth fruit. What drought could not produce, God restored through the pouring of water from heaven.

Rivers of Living Water — John 7:37-39

Jesus stood and cried: “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”

Christ promised rivers of living water through the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost, dry and fearful disciples were suddenly filled with power, boldness, and spiritual life because God poured out His Spirit upon them.

God still turns wildernesses into watersprings. He still revives dry hearts that thirst after Him.
